SG-10 was created in 1998 along with SG-11 and SG-12. (SG1: "In the Line of Duty")
Their first mission was to help relocate the Nasyans. (SG1: "In the Line of Duty")
The entire team was trapped on the planet P3W-451 nearing the event horizon of a black hole. 5 years later (only a few hours to the team), three members of the team were rescued by SG-1 through the use of a ship capable of generating a unique anti-gravity field that negated the effects of the black hole long enough for them to land on the planet and recover the team, though their fourth, Lt. Jonathan Reed, was lost when the planet was destroyed. This is regarded as one of SG-1's crowning achievements. (SG1: "A Matter of Time", "A Matter of Honor", "The Cost of Honor")
The team continued their service, and served as reinforcements, along with SG-3, to secure P4S-237 when Mot had been defeated. (SG1: "Prophecy")
They also served as back-up, along with SG-3 and SG-12, when SG-1 went missing. (SG1: "Zero Hour")
