SG-17 are lead by Major Mansfield.
Lieutenant Elliott is transferred to this team after successfully proving his worth in an elaborate test. (SG1: "Proving Ground")
All of SG-17 was killed, except for Elliott in an attack on the underground Tok'ra by the Goa'uld. Elliott was saved only because of the implantation of the Tok'ra symbiont Lantash (SG1: "Summit").
He later died, though, after sacrificing his own life to allowed himself to be captured and release a Goa'uld specific poison among their capturers. (SG1: "Last Stand").
