Satedan Planetary Forces

The Satedan Planetary Forces was a branch of the Satedan Military. It is likely that the Planetary Forces was the equivalent to the Special Forces on Earth, including the United States Marine Corps, as all members were highly trained in hand-to-hand and melee combat, as well as weapons.

The Planetary Forces had duties to protect Sateda, but also do several operations on other planets, mainly to Wraith outposts, where they attempt to take them out. According to Tyre, they "get in, hit 'em hard, and get out". One of the planets the Forces operated was on Sarif Sur, a planet that had signs of a civilisation. Not only male Satedans worked for the group, at least one female works there as well, including Ara. (ATL: "Reunion", "Broken Ties")

The Satedan Planetary Forces attempted to deter the Wraith from attacking their homeworld, but eventually, they failed. According to Ronon, the battle lasted for days and everyone fought until they were all captured or dead. (ATL: "Sateda", "Midway")

The group wear body armour to prepare for battle. They also carry a variety of projectile weapons, including rifles and pistols. They may also have used Wraith stunners too. They also carry melee weapons, including swords and other knives.
