The shock spear is roughly 1.5 meters in length, which consists of a long pole and a triangular nozzle at one end. This nozzle is where the weapon shoots out a green energy bolt that, if the target has naquadah in their blood, causes devastating damage and intense pain and can take even the toughest Jaffa. Those who don't have naquadah in their bloodstream, the bolt diffuses harmlessly and occasionally causes that targets hair to stad on end.
The other end of the pole has a square piece of metal with jagged teeth carved into it so the wielder could brace the weapon against the ground without it sliding. (RPG: "Fantastic Frontiers: Stargate Season One")
