Staff cannons are powerful energy weapons used by the Goa'uld. Apparently derived from the same mechanics behind the staff weapon, cannons provide higher discharges and are primarily ship based weapons, being seen on Ha'taks and Death gliders. Samantha Carter was once able to rig a staff cannon from a downed glider to be used as a portable weapon by Teal'c, and it was still able to discharge its high yield. Staff cannons are also used as artillery weapons by Jaffa. They are also the main armaments of an Al'kesh, which posses a set of Dual Staff Cannons.(Stargate) (SG1: "Children of the Gods", "The Serpent's Lair", "The Fifth Man", "48 Hours", "The Warrior", "Avenger 2.0")

Stationary ground unit cannons used by the Goa'uld to guard Stargates and other points of interest. They are also used as siege cannons when attacking fortified positions. (SG1: "There But for the Grace of God")

This kind is used by the Free Jaffa Nation, presumably for the same reasons.

These stationary cannons were positioned at the top of two high towers and were used to protect a Stargate. (SG1: "Into the Fire")
