The Stargate documentary was a documentary film that was requested by the outgoing President of the United States. The film was intended to document the inner workings of Stargate Command in the event the program goes public. A reporter named Emmett Bregman was tapped to direct and produce the film. He was given an Air Force film crew to assist him. His arrival at the SGC was meet with resistance but after viewing the finished product, Major General George S. Hammond, the head of the SGC was very pleased and admitted Bregman was the right man for the job. (SG1: "Heroes, Part 1", "Heroes, Part 2")
