Stromos is a ship built by Talthuns as a last hope to preserve their civilization, which was facing the destruction of a dark star.

Stromos is a robust design, with four long, cylindrical chamber at its rear, which contained the cryogenic sleep chambers. Stromos was equipped with defensive technologies can bring life forms unconscious for an indefinite period. And the ship was fully automated after the ship left the scope of Talthun sun's solar flare, on his way to Talthuns new homeworld Ardena.

Stromos is a space ships built by Talthuns centuries ago to save a few selected Talthun from destruction. Stromos was going to Ardena, but never arrived, and the ship crashed on P2A-347. Stromos automatically revived Officer Pharrin for solving this problem of lack of power. Since the sleeping chambers began to fail, was forced Pharrin start transferring minds of the passengers in his own mind. Pharrin sent a distress signal on the hope that those other ships would hear it. Pharrin waited 12 years for help from the other ships. But instead arrived SG-1 with a naquadah generator to power the ship, and again bring the crew to search for a new home world by Stargate. What happened to Stromos is unknown, it is likely to remain at P2A-347. (SG1: "Lifeboat")

There are four long cylindrical chamber with cryogenic sleep chambers. Stromos bridge was destroyed when it crashed into the mountain.

Stromos has an unknown number of advanced techniques, everything from Stasis pods and Stromos is equipped with defensive techniques.

In order to protect the crew during the voyage, the ship is equipped with several hundred stasis pod s, at least enough to accommodate the entire crew.

Little is known about the details of such a power center. SG-1 placed a Naquadah generator to the ship to bring Talthun.

Stromos uses a form of propulsion that bypasses the presence of chemical rockets or rocket motors of any kind, and achieve high accelerations. The motors can be capable of traveling at the speed of light. Stromos engines consists of nine small engines and three great engines.

Stromos are equipped with defensive techniques that can lead to life forms unconscious at an undetermined time.

It is not known whether Stromos have some sort of defense shield system.

Stromos communications have the capacity to send and receive communications.
