A Tacluchnatagamuntoron, also spelled Tac'unitagamunition and Takunitagaminituron or simply Tac/Tak for short, is a small Goa'uld device, rather similar in appearance to a Goa'uld shock grenade. It is remotely activated, and fires small bursts of energy at warm objects, such as warm-blooded beings and flares. (SG1: "Deadman Switch")

Behind the scenesEdit

The Tacluchnatagamuntoron is spelled several different ways in the Stargate canon, with the subtitles for Deadman Switch and Stargate SG-1: Roleplaying Game naming it "Tacluchnatagamuntoron", Stargate SG-1: The Official Magazine 5 naming it "Takunitagaminituron" and the glossary for Stargate SG-1: The DVD Collection 53 naming it "Tac'unitagamunition". It is unknown which of these spellings are correct, though the unofficial GateWorld Omnipedia also uses "Takunitagaminituron" while Kate Ritter's Lexicon uses "Tacluchnatagamuntoron". It is, however, worth noting that the original name for the weapon was probably written in the Goa'uld language, and would probably be translatable into English in a variety of "correct" ways.
