Do we even know it was a lifeform? —Unsigned comment by 77.86.44.157 (talk • contribs).
- Yes the race is. Information on race is on Gate World. See for yourself, you see. —Unsigned comment by DannyJackson (talk • contribs).
- As evidenced in the episode, it is a sentient race. It actively moved to the places the team had poured water into the sand and "cleaned" the area. It also may have had something to do with Scott's hallucination and it produced water from the ground towards the end of the episode, waking Scott. All that said, the article title is conjecture and could very well have been named "Sand lifeform". Cheers.

There is nothing to suggest it is a sentient creature, it could have just as easily been returning the favor as he had given it water earlier. Much like a dog that is shown kindness will save it's master, though a dog is not a sentient creature. Mictlantecuhtli (talk) (Contribs) 16:20, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
- If a dog is not a sentient being, what is? —212.83.118.240 12:07, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
I've got it. It's the Sandman! Although, ironically, he helped Scott wake up...—Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 23:24, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
I figured it was just a hallucination.--76.122.163.200 08:58, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
so was I the only one who got an ascended being vibe
- I'm sure it was energy being, not necessary ascended
[edit] Article name change?
After the airing of Water, is this name still appropriate? As it's not a single lifeform anymore?--joecool280 (talk) (Contribs) 17:00, October 31, 2009 (UTC)
