The novel Stargate SG-1: City of the Gods actually states that the Furlings are indeed the Giant Aliens from "Nick's planet" which we've seen. The book (unlike the first three produced by RoC) is officially MGM licensed, though it's canon status is unclear...should I include this information on this page? —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 20:41, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Here's a thought. If the Furlings were part of the Four Great Races along with the Asgard, why didn't the Tau'ri just ask the Asgard what the Furlings looked like or for some sort of picture?—Anubis 10545 07:43, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Didnt the Asgard say that their computer core contains the Asgard's most up-to-date knowledge as well as their entire recorded history. That means that it should countain all they know about the Furlings.—Tau'ri 21300 03:48, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm probably wishing on something that'll never actually happen here but Universe is gonna be set way out there, maybe the writers'll state that the Furlings did an Ancient and left the Milky Way to explore or something. Doubt it though, they've been mentioned since season 1 of SG-1 and we've still not seen a hair of them.

Was it ever mentioned that the Furlings are even from the Milky Way? My history is a little fuzzy but the Asgard aren't, I don't think, so it doesn't seem to be a requirements to enter the Alliance. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 14:15, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Where does this information about "Furling skeletons" come from? The wikipedia page attributes it to a commentary track for the episode "Paradise Lost." I've listen to that commentary and I didn't hear anything mentioned about Furling skeletons. Did I miss something? --98.207.154.111 00:04, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

since three out of the four races in the Alliance have ways to escape death is it possibule that all do

What I noticed is that each of the known races tends to be from a different galaxy. Nox from Milky Way, Asgard from Ida, Ancients from Pegasus so chances are the Furling are from another galaxy thus explaining there lack of appearence. i reckon that the furlings and the Ancients are the most advanced out of the four. i read some where that the Asgard were taught by the Ancients and the technological status of the Nox remails unclear. but what if the furlings ascended and live in the plains above their galaxy —DeadReanimation 12:30, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

One one of the few things we know about the gadmeer is that they cannot live in a carbon-based world and have no technology that would hold a moch sulphur inviorment in the form of a suit or they would have used it instead of terraforming an inhabited planit. the furlings have left behind technology on carbon worlds and have been in the same place at the same time, like in the Aliance of the four races or in the furling-human paradice. these facts prove that it is impossible for the furlings and the gadmeer to be one and the same!
