Do we have any better main picture? I don't really think this one represents the Tau'ri very well.
Well, compared to the former picture, well lets just say the former picture was more descriptive. This image focuses mainly on the Stargate were the old one only showed the Tau'ri, and it was a clear view of them. Could we be a little more selective and scale back on the allies portion of the infobox? It's a little much and some of the races/cultures on the list have only appeared/been mentioned once. ok earth has several ships all Ancient and asgard knowledge and is on there way to becoming the most power full race in the universe surly it time to go public it like the roman empire suddenly developing computers all modern real world technology and keeping it secret all but a few and why do they never use in for practical stuff Naquadah and ZPM could end the world energy problems hand devices could cure most sickness

The word means "first ones" or "those from the first world" in Goa'uld in the sense that human life began on Earth -"Tau'ri" article
Humans originated in a distant galaxy, descended from the Alterans, who later became the Ancients and the Ori -"Human Beings" Article

- The Alterans and the humans from Earth are 2 different peoples. This is the reason only some of the current inhabitants of Earth have the ATA gene. And at either rate, it was on Earth that all human life in the Milky Way galaxy originated.—Anubis 10545 04:55, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
