Yugoslavia trivia[]

Just to provide a bit of documentation: As noted in the edit summary, removed an incorrect trivia bit. Contrary to popular belief, Yugoslavia did not break up in 1992, at least not entirely. Two of the republics, Serbia and Montenegro, remained together in a government that (from 1992 to 2003) was known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. As such, it's quite possible for a Zastava M85, produced "after Zastava's reorganization in 2000", to have been made in Yugoslavia. SpartHawg948 (talk) (Contribs) 09:02, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

Possible stand-in[]

Officially, the Russian military does not use any foreign armaments. However, Zastava is based on the AKS-74U, sometimes known as a Krinkov. AKS-74U is the Russian equivalent of P90, but built in the late 1970's from a readily available folding-stock AKS-74, with Zastava M85 merely copying the pattern. Used by either non-combat or special froces. - 46.138.187.178 08:01, July 24, 2011 (UTC)
