Time dilation field

Time dilation fields are areas in which time moves faster or slower depending on the configuration of the device generating it. The Ancients and Asgard are both races that utilize time dilation devices.

• The Asgard first used a time dilation device to trap the Replicators in a field .16 light year radius. About 1 year later, the Replicators modified the time dilation device to escape the gravity of the black hole that was once Halla's sun. (SG1: "Unnatural Selection", "New Order, Part 1")
• In 2006, Lt. Col. John Sheppard was once trapped in a time dilation field for a few hours on the outside, but experienced six months inside the field. (ATL: "Epiphany")
• The Asgard computer core is also equipped with a time dilation device. (SG1: "Unending")
