Sman789 was a Lantean medical trooper and secretly the scientific apprentice of Janus. He was made responsible for overseeing the Attero Device's construction by reprogrammed Asuran nanites, and he was the one Janus sent to dissasemble the device after it's testing failed and it's side-effect was discvered, allowing Janus to remain in Atlantis and not arouse any suspicion or be followed. After he returned to Earth with the other Ancients, he assisted Janus in the building of his second Time Jumper and, after Janus began to age and ascended with assistence from a new piece of Ancient technology, he began to perform research of his own. He developed the computer system and neural interface that later became part of the Repository of knowledge, and he also developed the Ancient beam transporter which could easily be converted to a Molecular construction device. His close friend Cynrrid, who was also a scientist, developed the solid hologram technology which was also integrated into the design of some molecular constructors for physics testing of new technology, as the holograms could simulate force, air resistence, gravity, friction etc. As he began to grow old, he and Cynrrid ascended and joined Merlin in his attemt to persuade the other ascended Ancients to destroy the Ori, with little success. They are still ascended and take a great interest in the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies, and also attempted to persuade the other ascended Ancients to ascend the Asgard during their mass suicide. It is unknown if they succeded in convincing the council, but it is unlikely.

[edit] Sman789's Ship, the Oritus

The Oritus was a custom-made ship built by Sman789 and Cynrrid after his return to Earth that remotely resembled an Aurora class but with docking wings on either side and with a far more powerful Shield based on newer Ancient technology developed after the Ancient's return to earth. It's technology included -

• Hundreds of upgraded Drone weapons, capable of bypassing even Asgard shields,
• Several Ancient beam weapons on various parts of the hull,
• A shield capable of resting fire from several Asgard plasma beam weapons for several minutes,
• Ancient beam transporters,
• Large scale molecular construction device,
• Stargate,
• DHD,
• Intergalactic hyperdrive,
• 2 ZPMs for power

Before Sman789 and Cynrrid ascended, they sent the Oritus on a pre-programmed course to the Pegasus galaxy, to seek out and attack as many Wraith ships and bases as it could find. Despite a large string of successes, the ship was eventually confronted by a large Wraith Fleet and recieved heavy damage before the AI on board made the decision to retreat to a safe location. It's current position is unknown, but the ship was programmed to leave the Pegasus galaxy upon taking critical damage and move to a point in between Pegasus and the Milky Way, so that neither the Wraith, nor the primitive life forms of the Milky Way, would be able to locate it for many thousands of years. It is likely that it still resides somewhere in the interalactic void, waiting for the Ancients to one day return and reclaim it.
