Style of editing
Edit
Hi there, I just wanted to thank you for your recent edits to the site; there are far too few people who have even read the novels, let alone write up articles based on them. Please note, however, that we try to write from an In-Universe point of view on the wiki so we wouldn't say things like "In such and such, this happened" we would merely say "This happened" as if it were real. As you can see, your articles have already been edited to reflect this style. If you find it easier to write in your current style, then please simply inform another editor whenever you create articles so that we can change them to match the style of the site. Once again, thanks for coming to edit. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 19:23, March 13, 2010 (UTC)
Editing groundrules
Edit
Hello, nice of you to create fairly detailed articles. However, I would like to point out two points for improving your editing, namely with linking and citing;
- For starters, it is unnecassary to link pages as, for example, [http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Stargate Stargate], just [[Stargate]] will suffice.
- Cite episodes as {{cite|SG1|Lifeboat}} rather than ("[[Lifeboat]]")
Thanks. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 14:43, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
Canonicity of novels
Edit
Just wanted to first of all thank you for the addition to the Fenrir article, but also wanted to let you know that there is now no need to add the ambiguously canon status to anything from the Fandemonium novels, as they have been stated to be fully canon (though obviously overridden by anything in the shows directly). The comics and Roc novels still get the ambiguously canon tags, however. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 11:30, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
