In-universe perspective Edit

Please read SGCommand:Manual of Style. In-universe articles should not contain references to production, such as "season four", except for "Behind the scenes" sections. For that matter, "Behind the scenes" is written like this, the "s" is not capitalized. - Sikon 13:26, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Signing posts Edit

To sign your posts on talk pages, use four tildes, like this: ~~~~. - Sikon 06:03, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Your Dreams Edit

You have some pretty cool dreams. (For example your latest post on your user page). Anubis 10545 04:30, 23 May 2008 (UTC).

Wow, that dream you just posted sounds crazy. However my mind stays un-blowed, well sort of :) Anubis 10545 18:03, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the comment. Matthew R Dunn 20:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm reverting the Qetesh article back to the way I had it. My source is the movie itself: I found it on YouTube: the entire thing is there, or at least it was the last couple of nights and I watched. Excellent movie by the way.

  • That was all I need. I appreciate you telling me. :) Matthew R Dunn 20:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for cleaning up after me - I'm still finding my feet here :-) Richard Jackson 14:55, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome. Please understand that I might not do it forever, because I usually have my own projects to do, just take a read at the SGCommand:Manual of Style, as this page will help you, helped me lots. :) Matthew R Dunn 15:12, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Genii RifleEdit

The picture of the Genii rifle you posted is incorrect. That is a Satedan triple-barreled rifle last I checked the Satedan rifle article did not have any pictures so you can move it there. If you can find any pictures about the rifle I was talking about and post it on the page that would greatly help. Also I would like your opinion. Those small double barreled pistols used by the Genii, but are later found by Ronon on Sateda, what should they be classified as, Genii or Satedan?User:Mckay clone 301

I think that both Genii and Satedan weapons are both, more or less exactly the same. So unfortunately, I honestly have no idea how to answer that question. Also, I think that both the Genii rifle and the Satedan triple-barrelled rifles are the same too. In other words, I am defending my decision about keeping the image there, but if you want to, you could move it yourself. Matthew R Dunn 17:24, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I've put the picture back in and moved the article to the name given in Stargate Atlantis: The DVD Collection 66. If anyone wants scans of the pages which mention the shotgun (and the pistol as well) then I'll be more than happy to scan them. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 18:13, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Sounds good, thank you. Matthew R Dunn 21:27, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Meredith Edit

  • Jaymach did not agree, but he stopped responding. I could use another viewpoint for this, too. I don't understand why this is even a problem. This has been policy both here and on Wikipedia for years. Why has this suddenly been called into issue? (The only reason I did not mention this the first time the page was moved to Jonathan J. O'Neill was because I didn't notice at the time. I still consider it a recent change, and the fact that it was left uncorrected for a while does not make it any more correct.) —Marco Polo 02:31, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
    • I suppose you're right, it's just that since you returned, I noticed an alarming amount of pages being moved, and I thought the odd one was wrong, so I reverted the name back to its full name. I still however believe that Meredith Rodney McKay be kept that way, because he was still addressed by his first name by his sister quite often, and by some of his colleagues as a means to wind him up. About the Atlantis Summary project Edit

Hello There. First of all, thanks for being patient and going through the two summaries I have so far. In light of that, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind being the designated person to proofread and add links to my summaries, as I am not very good at doing either on my own.

If you could do this, that would be most appreciated. --Nmajmani 12:22, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Of course, I would be happy help. -- Matthew R Dunn 13:15, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Alright then. I usually add one summary every one or two days. And Thanks!. :) --Nmajmani 14:37, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Stargate timeline Edit

iv been updating the Stargate timeline, adding lots information that missing, which has taken me many many hours. if you have any problems with any of the changes i have made, or want to ask me anything please message me.

p.s;- ill be double check the hyperlinks and reference/cites to ensure there are no errors or none missing.

Re: Atlantis ProjectEdit

Yes, I am planning to continue the project. I was recently handed a ton of work at my office recently, but hopefully will get up Thirty Eight Minutes and Suspicion by Sunday, maybe tomorrow if I have time. I'll let you know when they go up. --Nmajmani 14:54, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Ok, cool. Thanks for letting me know. :) -- Matthew R Dunn 14:57, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

I felt you should know something about the project. I'm going to be skipping 38 minutes for now because I can't find a suitable way to intergrate the flashbacks into the main summary. Therefore, the lack of a new summary is intentional, and I thought you should know in advance. I'll probably write the summary for Childhood's End in it's place. --Nmajmani 19:00, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

That's fine, I often have trouble with flashback driven episodes myself, namely when writing Sunday and The Shrine (good thing I don't write episode summaries in Lost :)). Don't worry about it for now, you can go ahead in doing others and get back at Thirty-Eight Minutes later. -- Matthew R Dunn 19:09, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Stargate timelineEdit

thankyou for looking at the Stargate timeline and moving things into the correct section. iv just got a book that will help me a lot with this. its going to take a few weeks until everything is perfect, but thankyou once again for your help.

Jeffrey123450 22:59, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

No problemo. :) -- Matthew R Dunn 23:02, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

I like the whole FRAN thing you have going on on your usepage.—Anubis 10545 22:51, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I just wanted to fill that gap of nothingness in the middle of the page, and thought immediately of her. I thought having a laugh or two would help the situation even more. Although, technically, it was your idea, sort of, with those images of yours on your user page. But again, thanks. -- Matthew R Dunn 23:14, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Changes Edit

I appreciate any additions you make to pages I've created or edited, but let's not get into a p*ssing match, shall we. I'm just a newbie here, and it may be standard procedure around here, but it's a little annoying seeing your changes on every page I've contributed to. I may be out of line, I don't know. We obviously are interested in the same aspects of Stargate. Cordially, Qzk1718 12:43, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Qzk1718

I'm sorry about this. It's just that I tend to edit after newbies until they are good at editing (not that I'm saying your edits are bad). I have complete faith that you would soon edit edit in a way that I don't have to edit after you. I'm sorry if I went into a p*ssing match. And if you mean out of line by this message you posted to me, don't give it a second thought. I appreciate you telling me about this. -- Matthew R Dunn 13:02, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. It may be just that we have different styles in what we think the pages should look like. Just keep that in mind when looking at my edits, and I'll do the same.Qzk1718 14:05, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Qzk1718

Lovejosefin Edit

I am sorry but the Deletion, i dot mean the. I should deletion anything else. I am very sorry what i did, and i am not upset about the image.

That's OK, I realise it is a mistake now, thanks for telling. -- Matthew R Dunn 23:38, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

about Kwwsucks Edit

Hi this is Leonhart178 or Tau'ri278 (on Wikipedia)

I thought you should know a little about Kwwsucks that i found out from talking to Kww.

Kwwsucks, started as 'leonhart' and wrote some pretty dumb stuff to Kww and RedFarmer. He was banned and lost for a while and then came back as 'Zbeeblebrocks' (i think that is how it is spelled), saying he was reformed. He was not banned for Sockpuppetry thanks to a self appointed 'Mentor' meaning well toward 'Zbeeblebrocks'. And he was lost for a while only to fins the thing about making an article about 'air' which he did. So if you want to ban him, i agree to it. If you don't, well you know this guy might be a butt kind of person.

All good intentions, live long and prosper

Leonhart178 02:05, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Well, thanks for bringing that up. Forgive the lateness of my reply, since you caught me sleeping. I fully agree with you. Unfortunately, I can't ban anyone due to the fact that I'm not an admin, though I am kind of thinking of being one soon (maybe sometime after Christmas) and if I am one, I'd ban anyone with nasty intentions when joinign this site such as Kwwsucks here. Any way, when I checked recent changes just five minutes ago, I noticed SFH has banned him already. I appreciate you telling me about Kwwsucks' Wikipedia past, I guess Tigers never change their stripes. Enjoy your time here :) -- Matthew R Dunn 10:50, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Episode Reordering Edit

Hey there. I took the liberty of updating the episode texts to reflect your edits to the order of the broadcasted episodes. I thought you should know, they're still in the "incorrect" order in the mediawiki:monaco-sidebar, which I don't have the authority to edit. In any case, it looks like you're ordering them in the order they aired, which matches the chronological order on the DVDs. However, (and this is not just a question for Matthew as I've been wondering about it for a while), the intended/chronological order of season 1 episodes is still very different from what we have listed here, and I was wondering what the stance is on this? Could it be changed, and if not, possibly a note be added to the season 1 page to let people know the intended order for the episodes, despite the order they first aired in? Cheers.—Ka'lel 00:40, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Firstly, the way you've been organizing the episodes looks really nice. About the episodes, we should put them in the order in which they aired... not any other way. I'll correct the sidebar.—Anubis 10545 02:55, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank you, though I am slightly confused which order the second season is aired, because Wikipedia and use one order (the order I used), but for some reason, GateWorld and the IMDb gives it completely different order for the four I rearranged. I wish I had season 2 on DVD to settle a score, but the earliest I have is season 5. -- Matthew R Dunn 17:12, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
I can tell you right now, and I'm sitting here with the booklet in hand, that the way you ordered it is the chronological/DVD order for season 2. —Ka'lel 17:20, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Good, I'm glad to hear it. :) -- Matthew R Dunn 17:35, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

dude, nice page. love the part about FRAN and its true. lol, where is Fran anyways? there she is. nope, she's gone again.—SupremeCommander 03:11, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, I'm glad you like it, I like to give a humourous approach to things on my page, and the dreams page like the quotes and the FRAN pics to make sure users don't get bored with just reading about me and the list of favourite eps and characters. -- Matthew R Dunn 12:23, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

With your collection of Stargate material, it's a lot larger than mine. I only have the Stargate movie on VHS, and the other 2 SG-1 movies on DVD... aside from the few random episodes I have saved to my Tivo :). I just though that was worth mentioning as you made it sound like you thought it was small in your edit summary (not that I was looking :). Good day, and as you watch Dr. Who, that Christmas special was pretty good.—Anubis 10545 19:00, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Well, I thought last year's Xmas special was better (not saying this one was bad, it was still good) and my favourite of Xmas night though was the new Wallace and Gromit. Anyway, I have about six Atlantis season 4 episodes in HD on Sky Plus, which is like the UK version of Tivo. Plus, I'm not really ashamed that the collection is relatively small, just that it's smaller to some other SG fans. I am satisfied with just the way it is, and I am seeking to expand it (slowly), but due to the fact I'm a little streched with money for now, I'll put it on hold. -- Matthew R Dunn 19:38, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, I've set my Tivo to record several of the better Atlantis episodes in the coming weeks when SCi Fi channel runs the Atlantis marathon. With Dr. Who though, wasn't that great just before the opening when they both said "Allonsy"... well, kind of, I thought it was funny. —Anubis 10545 19:44, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
That's funny, Anubis, I had actually written a message similar to your first one, when I accidently closed the window and said "screw it, I'm not typing it again." In any case, Matthew, your collection is impressive. I own every SG-1 episode only because I bought this monstrosity a few months back, and the original movie was thrown in for free in the deal. Other than that, I only physically own Ark and Continuum. I downloaded the first four seasons of Atlantis (DVDs) and have been downloading season 5 in 720p (which is how I'm able to upload quality pics) only because it airs in Canada way later than in the States. I figure the series is ending soon, and the "monstrosity" equivalent will be released soon after. And that's it. I've never read nor owned any books or any other merch. Cheers. —Ka'lel 00:59, 29 December 2008 P.S. It's really hard to grasp how big 54 DVDs looks until it's right in front of you. That's a lot of DVDs.

Atlantis Project update. Edit

Hello there. I'm sure you remember how far back I decided to reqrite all the episode summaries for Atlantis. I know that I have neglected the project, in part due to my getting caught up in watching all the episodes so I could see the series finale on the air. However, I plan to restart the project, with new summaries up by Saturday.

I was wondering if it would be possible for you to please start scrubbing through the summaries already available, and determine which ones do not require replacing. This would be most helpful, and thank you in advance. --Nmajmani 17:38, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

It's good to know you are starting again, but it is fine that you are pretty busy in real life, since I am a patient man. I'd say all season 4 eps, as well as Sunday, First Strike and Search and Rescue to Outsiders, The Prodigal and Vegas would already be complete, but then again, nothing will stop you from adding or removing stuff, or dare I say even replacing the more or less completed ones I mentioned anyway, should you think you could make a better version of them. -- Matthew R Dunn 19:14, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Your pageEdit

I accidently deleted your page, sorry Matthew. Ive replaced it with the last version before i accidently overwrote it. As i was hitting backspace through my pages, I didnt realise i was editing your page opposed to mine. See I was taking a few intriguing page layouts from your profile, not a good way to start is it?

All apologies, Benxander 16:14, 11 January 2009 (UTC)benxander

It's OK, I forgive you, thank you for undoing your mistake, just be sure to take a little extra care next time. :) -- Matthew R Dunn 16:23, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

P90, MP5, MP7 Revision Edit

I was just wondering why you undid my updates to the P90, MP5 and MP7 Articles. Regards. 09:28, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Didn't I just leave you message why, and also did so on one of the edit summaries, they haven't been mentioned on the show, we only take in infrormation that has, or from various Stargate sources. If you add the information without citing the episode you heard it from, or other Stargate sources, then it'll be reverted again. -- Matthew R Dunn 09:31, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Subpages Edit

How do you create subpages? I've tried everything... (I need it for my user page on another wiki...)
Thankful for help,
/-/Jetscream 14:57, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

It's actually quite simple. All you need to do is add "/" right after your username (for instance, type down "User:Jetscream/subpage" (bit after the dash is optional of course)) on the search thing, and then you can create one from there. -- Matthew R Dunn 15:01, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

/-/Jetscream 16:24, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Leaving notes on User Pages Edit

Thank you for your comment however if it was intended to imply I performed an error in my edit of the page, I must state otherwise. I quote from the page I edited (highlights added).

When voting, you can vote For or Against (please provide a reason if voting against, and preferably if voting for as well). Or you can add a Comment without actually voting. You can vote for any number of entries at once, but only with one vote per entry.
If you wish to require reasons given for any votes, then may I suggest you or someone who has the authority to make such a change update the page to reflect that wish. Good speaking with you. Emodeathmachine 21:34, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, in my point of view, it is normally common sense to add a reason, despite how typical they might sound (including, "it is a good article/image/quote") So I may go ahead and add the note like "add your vote and state the reason why" bit, if that is what you are referring to. Also, no-one really has any authority, as this wiki is for, well, anyone who likes Stargate or even use this to consider being Stargate fans. Good day. -- Matthew R Dunn 22:18, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Tense on the Goa'uld language article Edit

I noticed that you changed some of the tenses I changed on the page from this: The Goa'uld language is spoken by the Goa'uld and Jaffa.

to this: The Goa'uld language was spoken by the Goa'uld and Jaffa.

I don't believe this to be merited. All of the goa'uld have not been killed/exterminated yet, and there are still minor ones out there that may still speak the language. Also, the change also applies to the following targate noun, Jaffa, which still speak "Goa'uld", even during the Jaffa rebellion. --meghunter99 16:10, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Star GalleryEdit

Regarding your star gallery, I was watching "24" the other night and on Day 5 from 3:00-5:00am, the person who plays Netan also plays "Agent Davis". Although he was probably shown on screen for a combined total of 30 seconds... but I thought I'd mention it... seeing as how you watch 24...—Anubis 10545 08:27, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Well, I haven't seen much 24 in a while, so far I'm just following the new season. Thanks though, but I thought I'd only do characters who were in quite a lot from the shows, as I notice that there are quite a few 24 characters that I have identified from Stargate as well (such as Shanks, Trinneer was very recent, the guys who played Col. Everett, Kanaan, Tomin, Coombs etc) and I'm still missing some from other shows, as well as the fact that some characters (Anteaus, who we may know was played by Quark from Star Trek; DS9) don't have images. -- Matthew R Dunn 12:44, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I figured that would be the case (him being such an obscure and minor character). I'm only up to day 5 though so far... watching them on Netflix.—Anubis 10545 17:40, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Just thought i'd wish you a happy birthday!—Anubis 10545 19:46, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, Anubis :) -- Matthew R Dunn 20:59, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

And again!! Happy Birthday (he says in a non-stalkerish way lol). Yours is the day after Escyos apparently... and somehow I remembered yours was in June. haha... (again with the stalker aspect of that) I bet you're scared for your life now... lol —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 05:35, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, but get away from me, creep! :D -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 14:06, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Qetesh Edit

Stargate Continiuumm declared qetesh baal's queen. Which if you had any since would understand means she was his Goa'uld Queen in the Alternate Reality Hence It was under the Headline Alternate Queens.

But was she mentioned to be able to spawn infant Goa'uld? The Goa'uld Queen article contains information about that, but out of all the times I've seen the movie, I did not hear that at all. Also, other editors have reverted it as well. -- Matthew R Dunn 22:19, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Episode image categoriesEdit

Yay... Nice job. We (although mostly you) finally finished those episode image categories...—Anubis 10545 19:14, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi :)Edit

Hi Matthew,

My name's Karim. I'm on the Wikia entertainment team. I wanted to reach out, say hi, and let you know how awesome I think this wiki is! I started off as a huge Stargate fan when the original movie came out, but lost track of the series after SG-1. I completely agree that the mythology is what makes the series so special! Since I heard of Stargate Universe's upcoming release, I've been catching up on all Stargate info here and elsewhere. Are GateWorld and Joe's Blog your favorite sites outside this wiki, or are there other Stargate sites you like? Just curious :) Anyways, just wanted to say hello and let you know that i'm available if you have any questions or if you need any help building up the already amazing content you've got going here. Thanks! -- Karim@fandom (talk) 22:43, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi Karim, I'm glad that you follow this site and agree with me about the mythology. To answer your questions, GateWorld and Joe's Blog are some of my favourite sites outside this one, as they catch up with the latest from Universe, though Mallozzi is going on about his family reunion in Montreal (still a nice read though). Welcome to this wiki! Hope you enjoy contributing here. -- Matthew R Dunn 00:30, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Definitely, and Thanks! Is there a particular section here that folks have been working on building up? I guess I could just take a look at the recent changes Thought i'd ask anyways :) -- Karim@fandom (talk) 00:37, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

do you know how to do 2 tables that are next to each other, but have a space between the 2 tables (so not joined)? i can only seem to do 2 tables joined together? thanks for your time, --Stargate TL1 00:11, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, you barked up the wrong tree, I have no idea, though the only way it could work for me right away is to have the two joined together. -- Matthew R Dunn 00:18, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Air, Part 2 Edit

Hey, thanks for undoing all those spaces. I honestly have no idea how or why that happened. I just went into the article, deleted the one letter (L) and saved. For some reason all those extra spaces were added and I didn't even notice. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 17:23, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

No problem, I know it is not your fault. Did you edit using the new "rich text" rather than the old fashioned way, because I find that seems to cause some of the bugs. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 17:27, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
I may have, I did it so fast I can't recall, though I always try to edit in wikitext because I find it easier and I don't like a lot of the things that rich text does. MolocKal'el T | C - 18:13, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Information about Stargate Universe Edit

Hi there, mind I know where did you find the information about the Commander Kiva that you put in the summanry in the universe season 1. If so can you put the link here for me to check cause I had been searching the net and find nothing about it. -- Hafiedz (talk) (Contribs) 23:42, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

The information can be found here. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 15:48, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Thank alot Hafiedz (talk) (Contribs) 16:00, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Incursion Guest Stars Edit

i got them from IMDB and Stargate Solutions. I remember reading on SG Solutions that Colonel Telford was going to be in it and i got the rest from IMDB.

Quotes SectionEdit

You sir have the greatest #@%king quotes section in the universe! If I wasn't reading them at work I would seriously have been on the ground crying with laughter! Thank you so very much...-Grimace427 (talk) (Contribs) 20:51, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a lot, glad you love 'em. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 21:03, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

thankyou for your message. i understand that it does not relate to stargate at da moment. im just gettin the structure right between the pages, and then ill relate it to stargate. its just how i work. also i know Jaymach wanted to add the months, but has never got around to it. so i was tryin to do the guy a favour. we also seem to have alot of unlinked months throughout da wikia, so i wanna tie this problem up.

do you have any suggestion on how to relate it to Stargate? ideas are always welcome

ok, i didnt releasise there was only a month warning on the 'spolier warnings' :) regards --Stargate TL1 (talk) (Contribs) 16:59, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Well, there isn't really a time limit as to how long the spoiler warnings last. It's just been a month, which is quite a while, and you'd figure everybody watched it by now. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 17:07, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

in da words of Homer Simpson "okily dokily" :) da Kino webisodes are coming along nicely. it never seems dat much work, when you 1st start them. thanks for your help --Stargate TL1 (talk) (Contribs) 17:17, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Time EditEdit

On Time Patrick Gilmore was already listed when you mistakenly added him as Darren Becker. That is why I deleted it the first time because it was wrong on two different levels. Someone else has corrected you for the forth time. Please leave it alone. And next time you go threatening people you should get your facts straight first.Lowriders95s10 (talk) (Contribs) 06:22, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Technically, it was a warning, not a threat, those are completely different things. Second, maybe you could clarify more on edit summaries. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I hope you can accept my apologies. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 15:32, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Kremlin photo Edit

Hi! On this photo are not a Kremlin. This is Saint Basil's Cathedral in Red Square. ;) --Santilian (talk) (Contribs) 00:22, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Proclarush Taonas Edit

I was just curious why the Proclarush and Taonas Pages are separate? Isn't that the full name of the planet? Daniel Jackson says in Lost City "Proclarush Taonas isn't just the name of the planet, it's also the gate address" (6 syllables Pro-la-rush-Ta-o-nas which corresponds to the Gate address 035003031034005017) . This is what lead me to believe there has been a mistake in creating those 2 pages separately, or am i missing something? --Jenkins08 (talk) (Contribs) 04:12, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Taonas was an outpost on the planet and Proclarush was the planet itself. This is shown when O'Neill (while aboard the Tel'tac shortly after arriving) points to a place on the screen and says "Taonas", which they then go to. Tanos was probably the capital, or something, and so it was included in the name... or mabe because Proclarush doesn't have 6 syllables by itself. —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 04:17, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
Ah ok i get ya... Thanks for clearing that up :) --Jenkins08 (talk) (Contribs) 04:22, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Wanted pages Edit

Howdy i'm going to leave this message with Jaymach, Ka'lel and Anubis aswell, i made a list of Special:WantedPages that doesn't include the automated (episode) pages.. just something to do if your thinking "hmm not much to edit" LOL yeah right i know, just a thought :). Here's the page User:Jenkins08/wantedpages ASTL0001Jenkins08 Chat | Contribs - - 10:52, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

Ok done Edit

Alright i've finished the action figures page. Sorry about the under construction thing, bit of a judgement slip, i knew straight after i pressed Save that it was a mistake but can't take it back on a wiki :/ ASTL0001Jenkins08 Chat | Contribs - - 12:52, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Your "wrong episode number" edits of a year ago Edit

Airdate order is not production order. The numbers were correct, you shouldn't have changed them. The episode order listed prior to your edits is the production order, is the order they were aired on American TV, and is the order used on the DVD releases. I have reverted your edits. -- 09:08, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Well someone reverted your reverts, and he just happens to be an American user unlike myself. Also, when I did those edits last year, another user (a Canadian one, who uses the same DVD release region as the States) told me I got the order right (see above), so what's the deal? Are you an American or Canadian, or from elsewhere? -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 19:18, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
It's all very confusing, but we're talking about 4 completely self-contained episodes here. It shouldn't be a big deal. For future reference, I just checked it again and the way it is listed on Region 1 DVDs is: 15. A Matter of Time, 16. The fifth race, 17. Serpent's Song, 18. Holiday (I own this which essentially contains this.) The way we have it listed is identical to the Region One DVDs and the Original Airdates worldwide.
The wikipedia page listing season two episodes is full of conflicting information. It lists the episodes in order of their American airdates, not their Original airdates, despite the column's title. It then incorrectly lists (Sky One) as the channel for several of the airdates. At the same time, it references a note at the bottom containing different airdates and incorrectly states that the DVD release goes by the American airdates, which it does not. MolocKal'el T | C - 20:45, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Ka'lel... I own this (which is Region 4) and that's the order i have aswell. Also Matt, if you want to check where a user is from, enter their IP address here and it will give you detailed info about their ISP. Which for that user is;
inetnum: -
descr: Woosh Wireless,
descr: Internet Service Provider,
descr: Wireless Broadband Service Provider
descr: Auckland
country: NZ
It's possible that New Zealand have different television air dates, but they are the same DVD region as Australia therefore the episodic order should be the same. ASTL0001Jenkins08 Chat | Contribs - - 05:26, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the help. I've just checked the second season boxset I own myself and realise the order is, surprise, surprise, exactly the same as your's and Ka'lel's, the only thing I find not in order in mine is that "Spirits" is episode 11 other than 13, and "The Tok'ra" as episodes 12 and 13. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 10:51, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Advanced searching Edit

Howdy Matt... I was wondering if there is any way of doing an advanced search looking for exact matches only, and if possible a case sensitive search aswell? Cheers ASTL0001Jenkins08 Chat | Contribs - - 16:42, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Not sure. Usually, when you search for something, and it gives you a list of possible matches, there is an advanced search tool on the bottom of the page. Is this what you mean? As for the case sensitive, I don't have a clue, sorry. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 19:06, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Stargate Atlantis Quotes.  :) Edit

HI there. I was just reading through your favourite quotes from Stargate Atlantis and noticed that you didn't have one of my favourite quotes from Stargate Atlantis.

Season 2. Trinity, when Ronan and Teyla return from offworld and McKay is upstairs in Weir's office arguing.

Weir: You are the smartest man we have.

Rodney: I know.

Weir: something that I can't hear. "You put your life and other peoples lives at risk."

Rodney: *mumbles*

Rodney: Five sixths, but it's not an exact science.

Weir: Rodney! Can you give your ego a rest for one second!

I just loved that episode. I was pissing myself laughing when I watched that.  :)

Yeah, that is rather funny, though personally, my favourite is when McKay returns high on the enzyme ("oh you should've seen me, I was amazing!"). There are still a few quotes I haven't added yet, so one of your favourites may go in there as well. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 14:38, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

With regard to the section you just added, I completely agree with you. It seems like several people have heard of Stargate and yet no one really knows what it's about. Most people I've talked to about it seem to think every episode has the same stupid plot consisting of a team (with a guy with a coin in his forehead (aka Teal'c) ) that travel to distant lands through a crappy portal. —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 03:08, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, it's a shame as well; I will admit the odd quote made me fume at times, but I mostly merely pass it off as "yeah, well some people do like it"; Stargate is quite the respectible little franchise, and I feel it has a small, yet strong fanbase, which is one of the things I love about it; without us, Stargate would probably finish years ago. Hopefully, the fanbase would keep the fracnhise going for at least a third or fourth season of Universe, and some reunion thing years after, if people start liking SGU season 1.5. And judging by the recent trailer, it seems people might be sticking to it. I really can't wait until it returns now. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 03:24, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

Point Of Origin Edit

Where did You get Earth Point of Origin for Destiny's gate? Vilnisr (talk) (Contribs) 17:03, April 2, 2010 (UTC) I thought I added a ref for it when I included it. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 17:36, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

but there is no Earth Pont of origin, there is address form Destiny to Earth and it can't contain Earth point of otigin Vilnisr (talk) (Contribs) 18:11, April 2, 2010 (UTC) p.s. 30th glyph can't be Earth PoO, cuz, destiny do not have constant PoO Vilnisr (talk) (Contribs) 18:16, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Well, that's what the source says; we shouldn't really question it, regardless whether Destiny is in constant motion (Icarus Base uses Earth's Point of Origin), until we're told otherwise. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 18:53, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
PS, the Milky Way and Pegasus gate symbols use constellations, but Destiny's seems to be just regular made-up symbols. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 18:59, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Alternate Roles Edit

Did you know the actor that plays Rush was in 28 Weeks Later, he was a man named Don. (PS, the woman he lets die in 28 Weeks later looks a lot like the pictures of his wife in universe.)

Yes, and Full Monty, and World is Not Enough. I have seen him in 28 Weeks Later, which I saw once and will NEVER see again, too gory, makes Resident Evil seem like it's from Disney :P -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs)
Yes, I recorded 28 Weeks Later on DVR, and after watching the goriest 20 minutes ever, decided i should just turn the Tv off and delete it from the DVR. Mr White (talk) (Contribs) 01:58, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Do you or anyone here know the history or origin of the name of the Character, General Maurice Vidrine? I am a member of the Vidrine family and would like to know how the character received the name? 14:50, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

Just wonderEdit

Hello I have seen the episode Touchstone. And when SG-1 must go into the bioresearch lab you hear someone calling for a Lieutenant. I am not sure if they're O'Donnell or other name being called. Do you know what name it is? And I would appreciate if you could find out the.--Colonelsam (talk) (Contribs) 12:46, March 10, 2015 (UTC)
