William Waring, also known as Will Waring is a director for numerous Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate Universe episodes. His Stargate directing career debuted in the SG-1 season 5 episode "Meridian".

In a number of DVD special features, he admits to have a dislike for the more advanced High Definition camera since they were introduced in SG-1's eighth season. While attending the University of British Columbia, he developed the "WillyCam", a mechanical camera stabilization device.

Waring also served as a camera operator for A Dog's Breakfast, a film that served as the directional debut for British-born Canadian actor, writer and director, David Hewlett (Meredith Rodney McKay).
