Wraith combat goggles are goggles used by the Wraith during hunts.
Overview
Although the exact functions of the goggles are unknown, it can be assumed that they carry some sort of tracking device to track runners. They also appear to relay everything seen back to the hive ship so that the Wraith Leader can enjoy the hunt.It possible they have night vision.
History
So far, the Wraith goggles were used by only one known Wraith, which was the one who was beamed down to Sateda to hunt Ronon Dex first, after he was made a runner again. (SGA: " Sateda")
It could be that these goggles mainly protected the night vision enabled eyes of the hunter when in daylight (like sun or snow goggles).
