A Wraith scout ship is a relatively small vessel used by the Wraith. Larger than the Wraith Dart and Puddle Jumper, the vessel functions in a role similar to a Goa'uld tel'tak, serving as a scout, shuttle, and cargo vessel. The vessel appears to be hyperspace capable, but it is unknown what sort of range it has. It is unknown if it requires a Wraith to pilot the vessel, much as how the Wraith Hive ships require a Wraith to interact with the neural interface. It was used to transport a Wraith Queen to Atlantis during the brief alliance between Atlantis and a hive ship and later used by Michael Kenmore and John Sheppard, Ronon and McKay to the Daedalus during the Battle of the Void. (ATL: "Aurora", "Allies", "No Man's Land")
This class of ship was seen transporting Todd and Teyla Emmagan to the Primary's hive ship in 2008. (ATL: "The Queen")
Some time later, a scout ship shuttled Todd's delegation aboard the Daedalus, landing in an F-302 fighter-interceptor hangar bay. When Todd locked the human vessel in a collision course in an attempt to destroy the Attero device during the Battle of M6H-987, he and the rest of the Wraith escaped in the scout ship. (ATL: "First Contact", "The Lost Tribe")
Notes
Edit
- The Scout ship was not seen in the episode Aurora, however, concept art at the MGM website shows a Wraith bat-winged shaped vessel which was labeled as the scout ship.
- It looks similar to the Wraith cruiser, except smaller.
