Wray Douglas was the Special Effects Coordinator for Stargate SG-1, Atlantis and Special Effects Coordinator/Supervisor for Universe. His effects team was nominated for Gemini Awards twice in 2000 for the SG-1 episodes "Show and Tell" and "Into the Fire" and again in 2001 for "Small Victories". He invented a water based system for the various mists/air vents seen around Destiny, most notably, the Apple Core. He was also Special Effects Supervisor for A Dog's Breakfast, which was written and directed by British-born Canadian actor David Hewlett and starred David, his sister Kate Hewlett and Paul McGillion.
